Welcome
We are Hake Theatre, based in rural County Durham in the North East of England.
Who are we?
Hake Theatre was set up with support from York St John University and their Grad2Director programme by Ruth Haynes and Jake Ord. Ruth and Jake are both recent graduates of York St John having studied Drama: education and community, and Drama and theatre.
Hake theatre is currently based in Stanhope, Weardale with the aim of creating Theatre specifically for small venues such as church halls or village halls.
How are we funded?
Hake Theatre is not a funded theatre company. Funds will be raised slowly, on a project by project basis.
Our accounts for subsequent years will be available to be viewed through our companies House listing.
